More about Mountain View Village

The Mountain View Village Mixed-Use Redevelopment project will establish a model for future redevelopment activity along the Highway 78 corridor.

The existing abandoned homes and buildings on approximately 54 acres fronting Hwy. 78 between Britt Road and Highpoint Road serve no other purpose than to blight our community. The redevelopment of these dilapidated structures will provide area residents and the county with a showcase mixed-use development.

Mountain View Village will integrate residential, commercial and office uses into a walkable community. The redevelopment area will incorporate detailed architectural standards throughout the entire project.

Mountain View Village will meet or exceed the development standards of the Hwy. 78 Community Improvement District and the recommendations of the county’s market study committee. We will draw upon concepts of new urbanism and neo-traditional planning to minimize unnecessary vehicle trips and encourage walking and bicycling.

Most importantly, Mountain View Village will reflect the vision and foresight of area residents as we incorporate their input into the project's layout and design.
